How to enable or disable email notifications for your shows

It's simple. Different shows require different amounts of attention from different team members. So it only makes sense that each team member should have some control over what types of notifications they receive. Your editorial and marketing team members, for example, may want to know the moment a new episode is published, but have no interest in what the Ad Ops team members may be working on.

This article will guide you through the steps necessary to manage precisely which email notifications you receive, and for which shows.


Types of Email Notifications

First, let's cover what types of email notifications you can set up. There are six options available (if your account is enabled for Ad Creatives).

  1. Episode Published - Receive emails when your episodes get published.
    (By default, all Simplecast accounts are set up to receive Episode Publish notifications.)

  2. New Ad Creative* - Receive emails for new Ad Creative requests.

  3. Revision Requests* - Receive emails if your Ad Creatives come back with revisions.

  4. Approved Ad Creatives* - Receive emails when your Ad Creatives get approved.

  5. Cancelled Ad Creatives* - Receive emails when your Ad Creatives are cancelled.

  6. Due Date Reminders* - Receive emails for upcoming and overdue Ad Creative requests.

Depending on your particular role within the team, you may want all, some, or none of these email notifications for your account.

*These notification options are only available if your account is enabled for Ad Creatives.


Managing Your Email Notifications

While logged into your Simplecast dashboard, follow these steps to access and modify your Email Notification settings:

1. Click on the GEAR ICON in the upper righthand corner dropdown menu to access your Account Settings.

2. Select EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS from the lefthand side menu.

3. Enable or disable to notifications you'd like to receive using the checkboxes next to their respective descriptions.

4. Select the frequency with which you'd to receive your Ad Creative emails in the AD CREATIVE DIGEST dropdown. You may opt to receive them in real time, or if you prefer, you can select daily or weekly, and your new ad requests and revision requests will be rolled up into a single email.

5. Click the SAVE button in the upper righthand corner.

πŸ“Œ By default, the settings you select will be applied to all the shows for which you're a team member.


Advanced Settings

If you'd like to refine your Email Notifications with a little more granularity, specifying which shows in your account do and don't send notifications, here's how to do it:

1. Toggle the ADVANCED SETTINGS switch.

2. Enable or disable notifications for each show using the checkboxes next to their respective titles.

3. Click the SAVE button in the upper righthand corner.
