Where is the Apple Badge located on your website?

For Simplecast websites. Once your podcast has been accepted and is listed in the Apple Podcast/iTunes Directory, it's recommended to have your Simplecast Web Players and Simplecast Site show an Apple Podcasts badge and link your new listing.

We will display the 'Listen on Apple Podcasts' badge on your web player, show page, and episode pages after your show has been submitted and approved in Apple Podcasts and you have pasted your iTunes URL in the DISTRIBUTION section of your dashboard. See below for the step-by-step guide: 

The Steps:

  1. Submit your Show To Apple Podcasts Connect

  2. Copy your Apple Podcasts URL to your clipboard (3 methods explained)

  3. Paste your Apple Podcasts URL in the DISTRIBUTION section of your dashboard

Step 1: Submit your Show To Apple Podcasts Connect

Step 2: Copy your Apple Podcasts URL to your clipboard. 

Note: Below are 3 different ways to locate your Apple Podcasts URL and copy to your clipboard (Steps 2.0 – 2.2)

Step 2.0: Copy your Apple Podcasts URL in Apple iTunes Application on Desktop or Laptop

  1. Open Apple iTunes on a laptop or desktop

  2. Navigate to your podcast's profile page using Search

  3.  Click on the ARROW next to the Subscribe button

  4. Click COPY LINK

Step 2.1: Copy your iTunes Store URL in Apple Podcasts App on iOS Mobile Devices

  1. Open Apple Podcasts app on your iOS Device

  2. Search for your podcast and click thumbnail artwork

  3.  Click the 3 dots next to the Subscribe button

  4. Click SHARE

  5. Click COPY LINK and send to yourself in email or Message

Step 2.2: Copy your Apple Podcasts URL from Apple Podcasts Approval Email

  1. When your show is accepted in Apple Podcasts Connect, you will receive an approval email notifying you that your show has been accepted. Search for the email and open.

  2. The link in this email is your Apple iTunes Store URL and you can copy to your clipboard (cmd/ctrl + c)

Step 3: Paste Apple iTunes URL in Distribution Settings 

  1. Click on the GEAR ICON in the upper lefthand corner dropdown menu

  2. Select DISTRIBUTION from the lefthand side menu

  3. Scroll to 'Main Distribution Channels'

  4. Click the ARROW on the right side of the Apple Podcasts box

  5. Paste (cmd/ctrl + v) Apple Podcasts URL in 'Step 2: Enter URL' field.

  6. Click SAVE in the upper righthand corner
