There are some tasks you’ll need to complete before your show will be ready for submission to Apple Podcasts.

  1. Fill in Podcast Settings: Make sure all the information in the Podcasts Settings view of your Simplecast dashboard is filled out correctly. This information — what's also known as your podcast metadata — will be included in your RSS feed and will show up in Apple Podcasts and other app. 
  2. Publish at least one episode. As long as you have at least one podcast episode uploaded and published, you can head over to the Sharing view of your dashboard and you’ll see a text box containing your RSS feed URL. This URL is what you'll submit to Apple Podcasts. If you don’t see your RSS feed yet, click the link provided there and finish entering your billing information.

This will take you to Apple's Podcasts Connect login page, where you'll be asked to sign in using your Apple ID. If you are working on a team, or don't have one yet, we recommend creating a unique Apple ID for your podcast. You can create a new one here.

After you log in, you will see a "+" icon in the top-left corner of the screen. Click this to copy your show's RSS feed URL and then paste it into the form. Next, click the button to verify button, and if Apple says the feed is valid, click submit. Your show will now enter an approval process and go live on Apple Podcasts sometime in the next 3-5 business days.

If your feed URL doesn't validate, your feed might be missing some information (check Podcast Settings) or you may not have at least one published episode.
