✅ Please review this entire article before deleting a podcast from your account, as deleting a show is a permanent action.

Deleting Shows in your Simplecast Dashboard

Deleting a show is a permanent action and cannot be undone by you or Simplecast!
The podcast details, audio files, analytics, and RSS feed will be completely purged from our database and servers.
Deleting a show will delete your billing and subscription information, so you will no longer be billed for the show.
If you are moving your show to a new podcast hosting company, be sure transfer your show, download analytics, and set up a 301 Redirect before deleting the show.
You will find the option to REMOVE SHOW at the bottom of your SHOW SETTINGS page

⛔️ If moving to a new podcast host, you must redirect your show before deleting it. Deleting a show is permanent.

Redirecting Your RSS Feed

If you are moving your show to another host, be sure to create a 301 Redirect in the ADVANCED SETTINGS section of your DISTRIBUTION page. You may also consider downloading episode mp3 files, copying episode notes, and/or downloading analytics reports before you confirm deletion.

Click on the GEAR ICON in the dropdown menu in the upper lefthand corner of your dashboard
Select DISTRIBUTION from the lefthand side menu
Click ADVANCED SETTINGS beneath your Main Feed URL
Paste in your new host RSS feed URL in the RSS FEED REDIRECT field
Click SAVE on the upper righthand corner to complete this redirect.

📌 We recommend leaving your account active until after you've published a few episodes in the new feed.

How to Delete a Podcast

📌 If you have multiple shows in your dashboard, go to VIEW ALL SHOWS and select the show you want to delete. Be sure you are in the correct show dashboard before proceeding..

Click on the GEAR ICON in the dropdown menu in the upper lefthand corner of your dashboard
Click the REMOVE SHOW button at the bottom of the page that opens
Click on the DELETE [YOUR PODCAST NAME] button to confirm you'd like to proceed with the deletion process
Click NEXT
Click NO, LET'S CONTINUE DELETING MY SHOW
If you are moving the show, enter the NEW RSS FEED URL provided by your new hosting platform, then click NEXT
If you are not moving the show, check the box next to 'I'm not moving my show, I'm deleting it, then click NEXT
On the Quick Survey page, click SKIP or NEXT
Type DELETE SHOW in all capital letters
Click the DELETE button
