Simplecast has introduced a redesigned Content Reports interface that makes it easier to build, manage, and schedule reports.
This enhancement improves visibility across dimensions and metrics, simplifies report configuration, and gives users more control over report setup and scheduled reports.
What is new
1. Modernized Reporting Experience
Content Reports have been refreshed to make report setup faster and easier to navigate.
With the new experience, Dimensions and Metrics:
- Are organized into categories for easier browsing and displayed in separate tabs.
- Show the number of selected items, such as Metrics (3).
- Surface your most frequently used items at the top for quicker access.
The Most Used section is personalized for each user. It does not appear when you first log in, but becomes available as you begin using Dimensions and Metrics.
2. Customizable Metric Ordering
You now have more flexibility when arranging metrics in a report. You can:
- Reorder selected metrics using drag and drop.
- Remove selected metrics using the X button.
Previously, metrics appeared in the order in which they were selected, and changing that order required rebuilding the selection.
3. Enhanced Scheduled Reports
Scheduled reports now use an updated template workflow, making it easier to modify a report after it has been scheduled.
You can:
- Load and edit the structure of an existing scheduled report.
- Modify metrics, filters, and dimensions.
- Save your changes by overwriting the existing scheduled report configuration.
Previously, changing the structure of a scheduled report required deleting it and creating a new one.
These enhancements make Content Reports easier to configure, manage, and adapt to everyday reporting needs.
