Simplecast will soon introduce a redesigned Content Reports experience that will make it easier to build, manage, and schedule reports. These updates will improve visibility across dimensions and metrics, simplify report configuration, and give users more control over report setup and scheduled reports.
What is new
1. Modernized Reporting Experience
The Content Reports will be refreshed to make report setup faster and easier to navigate.
With the new experience, Dimensions and Metrics:
- Will be organized into categories for easier browsing and displayed in separate tabs.
- Will show the number of selected items, such as Metrics (3).
- Will surface your most frequently used items at the top for quicker access.
The Most Used section will be personalized for each user. It will not appear when you first log in, but it will become available as you begin using Dimensions and Metrics.
2. Customizable Metric Ordering
You will have more flexibility when arranging metrics in a report. You will be able to:
- Reorder selected metrics using drag and drop.
- Remove selected metrics using the X button.
Currently, metrics appear in the order in which they are selected, and changing that order requires rebuilding the selection.
3. Enhanced Scheduled Reports
Scheduled reports will use an updated template workflow, making it easier to modify a report after it has been scheduled. You will be able to:
- Load and edit the structure of an existing scheduled report.
- Modify metrics, filters, and dimensions.
- Save your changes by overwriting the existing scheduled report configuration.
Currently, changing the structure of a scheduled report requires deleting it and creating a new one.
These enhancements will make Content Reports easier to configure, manage, and adapt to everyday reporting needs.
